A Legendary Three and a Legendary Tree: where to discover the tree with the Legendary Birds
First things first, to beginning this risk off yous need to head to the big, pink, legendary tree.
Information technology's located in the middle of Ballimere Lake. To get there, head all the way to the temple where you plant Regirock (you can wing to information technology via taxi at present if yous've visited before). If you oasis't been there before, information technology's all the fashion at the east end of Giant's Bed, via the lower route through Old Cemetary, keep hanging right.
Only before you reach that temple is a river: surf along it to the far stop and hop up left onto the country, and you'll have arrived at Ballimere Lake. The tree itself is on a central isle - the ramp upward to information technology is on the reverse side of the area, so just work your mode circular in either management to get at that place.
Once you reach the tree, the iii birds volition announced - and start battling! That is, until you get an awkwardly-timed phone call from Peony, and they all fly off. They've gone to three separate locations, and will each require three carve up methods to catch them. Articuno is somewhere here in The Crown Tundra; Zapdos is running around in the original Wild Area; and Moltres is flying around in the Isle of Armor.
How to grab Articuno in The Crown Tundra DLC
First up, Articuno. Prepare yourself for some other typical legendary run across commencement - bring a good catcher Pokémon with Simulated Swipe and a status issue move, and some other beefy ones to soak upward the damage - and lots of Poké Balls likewise.
Articuno location and how to catch information technology
Articuno will take settled somewhere in The Crown Tundra, and will be hovvering in a fixed position a few metres off the ground. We found it in the Old Cemetary first, then when nosotros failed to catch it, it flew off to an area off the side of the height of Snowslide Slope. You tin can manually follow it by cycling along behind information technology if it flies off!
When yous arroyo Articuno, it'll create two decoys of itself, and the 3 Articunos will start spinning around in a circle. Collaborate with the correct ane and information technology'll trigger the boxing for you to grab it. Get 1 of the two decoys and information technology'll fly off for you to endeavour again somewhere else.
In that location are two tricks hither, for making your life easy. One: when you find it, save your game, and so you lot can quickly reload and endeavor again. And 2: Articuno really does a little gesture blitheness afterwards spawning its two decoys where information technology sticks out one fly, so if you keep your eye on the original ane as they quickly spin around, you lot tin can interact with that one knowing it's the original Articuno.
How to take hold of Zapdos in The Crown Tundra DLC
Zapdos is next, and information technology's currently sprinting about in the Wild Area back past Hammerlocke - nosotros found it in the first, lower one-half ourselves.
Zapdos location and how to take hold of information technology
Fly to the Wild Area and you'll see Zapdos run off. At kickoff, it's faster even than you sprinting on your bike, merely stick with it! Keep post-obit it equally best every bit you can, and eventually Zapdos will brainstorm to tire, and dull down.
Later a chip of chasing you'll exist able to take hold of up to it, and so simply cycle into it and it'll first the battle.
Make sure you come up prepared with catcher Pokémon and balls of course, too.
How to take hold of Moltres in The Crown Tundra DLC
Finally, Moltres, which is institute over in the Island of Armor.
Moltres location and how to catch information technology
Head to the Island of Armor's station, where you first arrived there, and Moltres volition fly off. Information technology really does one, giant lap of the unabridged island, flying off out towards the large Wailmer in the body of water ahead, going in forepart of the Dojo, into the next area, out to the tower on the embankment, correct along the edge of the map and all the way dorsum round to the outset.
The easiest matter to do is just wait in a spot where you know Moltres flies on its route. We waited in front of the Dojo but you could also wait in front of the Belfry of H2o, which is the big i on the beach to the west. Or, if you miss information technology, you could just go ahead of it somewhere and look for information technology to come towards you, and line yourself up with its path of flight.
Either way, don't listen to Peony'southward advice, if yous asked him for a hint back at his firm - he says sneak up behind it, which is actually impossible because Moltres flies faster than y'all, and the opposite of what you need information technology to do. You need it to wing into you where you stand up in its way!
Once you lot've caught it, that'due south this adventure done! Written report back to Peony, and and then a final adventure volition begin... They Came From Ultra Space! Head directly to our guide to that in that location, or back to our main Crown Tundra walkthrough and guide hub.
